Can debt collectors tell my neighbour or public about my debts? |
No. A debt collector cannot
disclose (or threaten to disclose) information about your personal or credit reputation to
any person, other than you and your spouse. However, debt collectors can report accurate
information to the credit bureau and pin information on your door. |
