How fast are domain names growing?

The Malaysian Network Information Centre (MyNic) is the official body registering all the .MY domain names in Malaysia. The statistics relased by MyNic on the total number of .My domain names registered over the last 5 years are shown on the right.

The number of new Malaysian websites could possibly be more than 5,231 because many local Internet firms take up .COM registrations instead of .MY

New ISP entrants in the market should further encourage the Internet growth as more access and websites will translate to better awareness and interest.
