How can I make my web pages load faster?

Reduce the number of images

If you have more than 4 images on a page, it is too many.

Reduce the size of individual images by resampling or cropping

Do not resize from the HTML code. it just make the picture looks smaller, but the file size is unchanged. You should resample so that the picture changes its pixel size to match its current display size.

Reduce the number of colors in an image

A GIF image can display up to 256 colors. However, your image can still look great with 128 colors or 64 colors. The fewer colors you use, the smaller your file will be and thus faster loading.

Break up tables

If the entire page is in one table, you will have to wait for the entire page to load before your see anything.

Provide a text only version of your site

If you really want your site to download quickly, remove all the graphics!
