100 timber experts for Woodmac Asia’ 99

More than 100 timber industry experts and participants are expected to gather at the two-day WoodmacAsia ’99 conference in Singapore from Sept 8 to 9. The meeting would share experiences and discuss multilateral key issues towards maximising resources and opportunities, the organiser Singapore Exhibition Services Pte Ltd. said in a statement yesterday.

Asia’s accelerating economic recovery has heightened international confidence in the bright prospects of Malaysia’s and the regional timber industry in the new millennium.

The conference, with the theme Assessing Asia’s timber industry future prospects for growth and development, will be held in conjunction with Asean’s other foremost woodworking exhibitions, FumitekAsia ’99 at the RM528mil exhibition centre Singapore Expo.
