What questions are usually asked in a job interview? |
Questions relating to the applicants name, present address, telephone number, present employment, former employment, and job references.
Many of the "problem areas" identified in the previous questions are still proper questions as long as it is deemed relevant.
It is important if you can explore the applicant's motivation. Does he seek power or achievement? Different motivational needs are appropriate for different kinds of job assignments. Certain positions require the applicant to have the ability to motivate people around him, to create a team.
You can also ask a question on "tell me about the best boss and the worst boss you ever has" to discover the applicant's value system.
A set of interlocking questions posed at different times can discover the personality traits of an applicant, whether he is an extrovert or and introvert. Can he adapt to a job where it requires a great deal of socializing? |
